As its sponsor, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is calling on people everywhere to recognize and trumpet what we so passionately know: Without radio, people in poor and remote communities around the world have no other access to the vital news and information so important to enrich their lives.
